Since today is Throwback Thursday we are going to take you back a few years to pay homage to Lil Wayne, one of the dopest artist in hip hop. The songs from the Best Of Lil Wayne Mixtape are from his musical artistry between 2006 and 2013. During this period I think Lil Wayne was at his pinnacle. If you are a Lil Wayne fan, take a step back into memory lane and enjoy this collection of songs.
Check out this hot new mixtape by Young Dolph called 16 Zips. This one is fresh off the press, listen to this joint and comment below.
July is coming to an end, and that means the start of football season is getting closer and closer. The guys from 100 Yards of Football love football season, and they will discuss everything football on Saturday.
Fall camp will start soon for college football, and South Carolina is looking bounce back after a sub-par season. The crew will talk about head coach Steve Spurrier and whether he will retire after this season if things don’t go well.
Also, the Big 12 recently had its Media Day and TCU was picked to win the conference. Can they win the Big 12 outright this time or will Baylor have something to say about it?
And Georgia also has an ugly loss each year since Mark Richt has taken over. Can they stop it this year?
The gang will move on to all the NFL news from the week. They will talk about the Marcus Mariota signing, Bret Farve being inducted into the Packers Hall of Fame and the Tom Brady saga.
And with the Falcons starting training camp, there will be a lot of questions surrounding the team as they try to get back to their winning ways. But the biggest question is will the Falcons sign Julio Jones during camp or will they have a deal done before camp begins.
Be sure to check out 100 Yards of Football on WIGO 1570 AM in Atlanta. You can also listen to the show on the Tunein radio app by typing in WIGO. The hosts of the show are “Mr. Football” Vincent Turner, Robert Stewart, Patrick King, Jonathan Simmons, Brad Mason and Brian Jones.

I have covered sports in the Atlanta area since 2006, and I have seen my share of events at the Georgia Dome. I have not missed a Falcons game since 2006, I have seen many college football, high school football and other sporting events during that time span.
Recently, I got a chance to go see the U.S. men’s soccer team play Jamaica in the CONCACAF Gold Cup Semifinals, which was a great atmosphere.
However, the U.S. got stunned by Jamaica, and it was the first time they lost on their own soil in two years and it was the first time they lost a match in Atlanta.
Honestly, I’m not surprised by it because I have seen plenty of teams I support lose big games at the Georgia Dome. However, I have to ask this question – Is the Georgia Dome cursed?
The Dome has hosted it share of great events like the Chick-fil-A Bowl, the SEC Championship, the Final Four and even Wrestlemania. But when it comes to local teams playing in the big games at the Dome, they have struck out more than they hit home runs.
Take the Falcons for example. They have won their share of games from 2008-2012, but in two of the last three playoff games they had at the Dome, they lost including the NFC title game against San Francisco back in 2012. They had a 17-point lead to start the game, blew the lead, had a chance to comeback at the end and came up 13 yards short.
The same thing happened to the Georgia Bulldogs in 2012 when they faced Alabama in the SEC title game. Georgia had a commanding lead in the second half, Alabama took the lead from them, Georgia had one last run in them but came up five yards short from playing the National Championship.
Another example is close to my heart because I went to this high school and played football for them is when Walton High School went to the state championship in 2011 for the first time ever, but they got shutout by Grayson (which was led by current Ole Miss defensive standout Robert Nkemdiche).
So the U.S. probably got hit with the Georgia Dome curse. It may not seem real, but for fans who have cheered for the Falcons and Bulldogs (and for me Walton High School) you can’t argue the fact that something is going on 1 Georgia Dome Dr. in Atlanta.
I love the Georgia Dome, and despite the bad losses, I had some great memories there. But the new Atlanta Stadium can’t get here soon enough.

It’s the weekend, which means the guys from 100 Yards of Football will hit the airwaves on Saturday morning on 1570 WIGO AM to tackle the biggest sports topics of the week.
First, the gang will dive into college football. SEC media days were took place in Alabama this week, and Nick Saban said that the quarterback position is still open. The crew will discuss who will be the starting quarterback for the Crimson Tide this year.
Also, FSU has been in the news recently for all the wrong reasons. What is going to happen to Jimbo Fisher?
And the Bulldogs were picked to win the SEC East by a large margin. If they fail to live up to expectations, is Mark Richt’s future in danger?
In the second half of the show, NFL will be the topic of discussion. Dez Bryant and Demariyus Thomas signed contract extensions, and both got a lot of money. Were both deals fair, and how does this effect Julio Jones in the future?
Another player that got as big contract extension is Justin Houston. Is he now considered the best linebacker in the game?
And Justin Hardy was in the news last week as 100 Yards of Football host Brian Jones wrote a piece about him being the new Falcons secret weapon. Could that be true?
So be sure to join Jones along with “Mr. Football” Vincent Turner, Robert Stewart, Patrick King and Jonathan Simmons for a great show starting at 10:00 a.m.
Justin Houston and Demaryius Thomas may play on different teams and play different positions, but they do have two things in common.
The first is they got huge contract extensions on the last day veterans are eligible to do that. Houston signed a six-year $101 million deal with the Kansas City Chiefs while Thomas signed a five-year $70 million extension.
The other thing Houston and Thomas have in common is they are both from the great state of Georgia. Houston played for the Bulldogs while Thomas played at Georgia Tech.
But they also played high school ball in Georgia as Houston played at Statesboro High School and Thomas played at West Laurens.
It’s not rare to see NFL players from Georgia. In fact, at the start of the 2014 season, there were 117 players that played high school football at Georgia that were on NFL roster. And quite a few of them have made name for themselves in the league.
Houston and Thomas are two of the best NFL players that are from the state of Georgia. However, there is also Bruce Irvin of the Seattle Seahawks that played at Stephenson High School. Then you have Morgan Burnett of the Green Bay Packers who is a North Clayton High School alum.
We can’t forget about Cam Newton of the Carolina Panthers who also recently signed a contract extension that put in the $100 million club. But the best of the bunch has to go to Calvin Johnson of Georgia Tech that was doing big things at Sandy Creek High School back in the day.
The NFL is starting to take notice of the talent in Georgia as 30 players from the state were taken in the 2015 NFL draft. Four of the players were taken in the first round including Vic Beasley (Adairsville) and Bud Dupree (Wilkinson County). The majority of the players were taken in the later rounds, but they are talented such as C.J. Uzomah (North Gwinnett), Amarlo Herrera (North Clayton), DeAndre Smelter (Tattnall Square) and Neiron Ball (Jackson).
Georgia has been known for having some of the talented high school football players in the country. And by the looks of the NFL rosters and the way this past draft went, that trend will continue for years to come.
Breaking news boxing fans! Floyd Money Mayweather has agreed to fight Andre Berto on September 15th 2015. This fight will be televised live on CBS and Mayweather is expected to earn between 30 to 35 million according to Bleacherreport.com.
Of course Mayweather haters are going to be upset about this opponent. The critics are probably going to ask Floyd to stop hand picking opponents and give Amir Khan a shot. Well true boxing fans like myself know that Khan would take an L just like Pacquiao and produce another boring fight. On another note, please don’t under estimate Berto. Dude is a very talented boxer with mad knockout potential. I think this going to be an exciting match, what do you think?
Do you remember the hit album Get Rich Or Die Tryin by 50 Cent? Well I hope he doesn’t die trying to stay rich. NBC news reported that rapper 50 Cent filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy today while in court. The hip hop mogul claimed debt from 10 To 50 million dollars. Do you think he’s broke? Hell nall, 50 is the executive producer and actor of Power, one of the hottest shows on television. This is probably a devious attempt to avoid paying a few of his recent lawsuits. I don’t blame him, keep your money homie.
Check out this new joint called Candy Money by FastLife Curt. This song is a single off his mixtape “Sheesh”. Shout out to the homie Step, T.O., Cheeze, and everyone at Stepd on Nation.
This is another sad moment in hip hop. Rapper Hussein Fatal, a close friend of the late Tupac Shakir and member of the group The Outlawz died yesterday July 11th 2015 in tragic car accident. R.I.P Hussein Fatal from ESUN and the Martacard.com family! In memory of Hussein Fatal we bring you one of his latest releases Real Az Dey Come featuring Young Noble

It’s that time again. Saturday mornings in Atlanta mean awesome sports talk, and the boys from 100 Yards of Football will have a lot to talk about this week.
In Saturday’s episode, the crew will discuss who is the best quarterback in college football? They will also try to see who is the best team of the non Power Five Conferences, is Greyson Lambert the X-factor for UGA and has Alabama lost its swagger?
The guys will then talk about all the news around the NFL. Is Matt Ryan the most underrated quarterback in the league? Does Falcons OC Kyle Shanahan have what it takes to take them to the next level? Who has the best defense in the AFC? How much money will Russell Wilson get from the Seahawks? And is having more games in London beneficial for the NFL?

I hate watching videos of people being abused by the biggest gang in america…
i don’t blame all police but I do know that those that are silent are assholes for looking the other way when their co workers abuse their power… the only way forward is to police our own communities so that we can set the tone.
I wrote this about it recently about it:
It’s Independence Day weekend, and that means there will be a lot of fireworks going off all across the country, especially on Saturday night. But there will also be fireworks going on Saturday morning as the boys of 100 Yards of Football will be discussing all the hot sports topics that happened over the week.
The NBA free agency kicked off on Wednesday, and there were some interesting moves to say the least. The crew will talk about were the winners of free agency, who are now the favorites to win the Eastern and Western Conference and did the Hawks get better with the moves they made.
Also, NFL teams will start training camp at the end of the month, which means there is a lot to talk about. What will become of Johnny Manziel? Can the New York Jets, Miami Dolphins and the Buffalo Bills keep up with the Super Bowl Champion New England Patriots? Who will have a breakout season? Which new head coach will be successful? What were the best and work free agent signings this offseason? And when will Los Angeles get a team?
Be sure to listen to 100 Yards of Football on WIGO 1570 AM on Saturday from 10-11:30 a.m. The hosts of this week show are “Mr. Football” Vincent Turner, Robert Stewart, Brian Jones and Jonathan Simmons.
