Late Saturday in the low-income district of Tottenham north London, protesters demonstrated against the fatal police shooting of 29 year old Mark Duggan, a father of four who was gunned down on Thursday. To worsen the situation, the police’s handling of the aftermath of that incident looks to have been poor.
Duggan’s family waited 36 hours to see his body. And when members of the community staged a vigil outside Tottenham police station to demand answers about the circumstances of the shooting, officers refused to speak with them.
British Prime Minister David Cameron mentioned on Tuesday police will crack down hard to stop the rioting and looting across London.
