There are just certain things that you really go for in life. One of those things is when you’re given a task for a contest. No matter how small the prize, just that sense of competition gives you so much more strive and want to achieve it. It works like a charm on me every single time.
Well, one thing that I think helped me in this recent sandcastle building contest was these hearing aids that I just got fitted with. I happened across the site http://hearingaids.miracle-ear.com/hearing-locations/texas/a/arlington/ and after I looked through it a bit, I decided that now was the time to just go ahead and get some. I had been putting it off for quite some time by that point.
Now this wasn’t my first ever sandcastle contest but I think that it gave me a certain edge and confidence that I hadn’t had in years before. We ended up placing in second, but that’s the highest that we’ve ever placed before. And you know what? I’ll take it. Besides, it can only help, right?
